Indoor Karting

Feeling Experimental?

Indoor Karting

Started racing karts at an indoor track this year and would like to experiment with my Gtech RR. I have a couple of questions. Is there a way to power the unit for portable use? I was thinking of fabricating an aluminum box with some sort of battery. It is a flat concrete track. Occasionally the karts experience some axle tramp or hop as the tires warm up. Is this environment too harsh for the unit?

The mounting and vibrations are the main concerns. Surrounding the unit with a sponge works well. What you want is to avoid vibrations while still recording the G's. Box and a battery (9V is OK) is fine, just make sure you put a sponge in with a cut out for the G-TECH so that it's completely surrounded except for the display. Let us know how it works out. Thanks.
